● Project 1: Stem cell therapy of Post-traumatic osteoarthritis (PTOA) using erythropoietin-incorporated HA microscaffolds. DOD Orthopaedic Research Program.

Achievements: write quarterly and annual reports, design the poster for DOD annual meeting, one peer-reviewed publication (selected as the cover image).
● Project 2: Development of chemokine loaded bioadhesive for glenoid labrum tear regeneration.
Tasks: generate preliminary data from cell to human tissue study, write the grant proposal.
Achievements: assist writing NIH R21 grant proposal named “Develop injectable and adhesive hydrogel scaffold to recruit autologous progenitor cell for the regeneration of labrum tear.”, submitted by June 2019.
● Project 3: Development of injectable click chemistry-based bioadhesive for accelerated wound closure.
Tasks: Bioadhesive synthesis and characterization, in vitro and in vivo study.
Achievements: Abstract for 11th World Biomaterials Congress, one peer-reviewed publication.
